Looking for Volunteer Organizers! (Event Part 1 of 2)

Hello hikers!
Are you passionate about hiking?
Do you want to explore the best hikes the lower mainland has to offer?
Are you interested in organizing and leading events?
We're looking to meet with any attendees who think this may be an interest to them.

*If you answered yes to all three of these questions, then we are looking for you.
*Still unsure about leading events? It may actually be more beneficial for you not to have any prior experience with this, so you don't have any assumptions about how we run our group (no experience required).

What We're Looking For From You (Part 1 of this Event):

• Someone who's passionate about hiking
• A group member who attends our events, so they're familiar with our group sizes
• Willing to post at least 1 event per month minimum, 3-4 weeks in advance
• Eager to learn about creating and leading outdoor events
• Can follow instructions, and not take recommendations and standard operating procedures (S.O.P.'s) as criticism
• Be eager and willing to learn new ways of doing things
• Follow the same ways our other organizers create events
• Be someone who wants to be an event organizer for the long-term :)
• Have fun!

If you're interested in organizing, and leading hikes that you want to go on, then we invite you to come out for coffee & chat.
If you think you can commit to being an event organizer for the long-term, some of the organizers and I will be there to answer any basic questions you may have.

Anyone can come out to Part 1 of our Event. Part 2 will include members who have been out to at least 10 of our events, and will include people who come out continuously. If necessary, prospective organizers will have resigned from organizing in other groups so they can focus on helping this group. Part 2 will include specifics about how to post events properly.
