Whistler: Overlord, Lakeside & Decker Loop - Intermediate

Details

About the Hike:

Whistler Gondola pass required

Skip the uphill slog and ride the gondola to the top. This route is located at the top of the Blackcomb Gondola on Blackcomb Mountain. Overlord, Lakeside and Decker Loop offer stunning views of Blackcomb meadows and alpine lakes, along with various viewpoints along the way. Overall, this is a great hike with fantastic views and changing landscapes. The route is mostly well marked and it is challenging in parts.

After the hike, join us at Merlin's Bar & Grill (across from gondola base) for food and drinks.

As of June 21 Decker Loop is still closed but often opens by the long weekend. If it is not open by June 28 we will still hike the trails that are open (Alpine Loop, Lakeside Loop and Overlord Trail). We may encounter snow so microspikes are recommended.

We will board the gondola promptly at 10:30 am. You MUST have your gondola ticket or pass before boarding the gondola.

*Note that the 1 day gondola ticket costs $105 (!!!) while the summer season pass is $165, so if you plan to come back even once before September 21 the season pass is a better deal. If you have purchased a Whistler Blackcomb 2025/2026 ski season pass then you are entitled to one summer experience pass. Make sure you pick up your pass at Guest Services. If you have a 2024/2025 ski season pass you may be entitled to a discount or pass - check with Whistlerer website/Guest Services.
