Whistler: Harmony Lake and High Note Trail - Intermediate - LAST CHANCE FOR 2025

Details

About the Hike:

Whistler Gondola pass required

Skip the uphill slog and ride the gondola to the top. This route begins at the Whistler end of the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, with an easy walk past Harmony Lake. From there, we will ascend over the ridge to Symphony Lake and, if time allows, enjoy lunch at Flute Summit. The final stretch on High Note Trail to the Whistler Peak offers stunning views of Cheakamus Lake, the Black Tusk, and Blackcomb Mountain (we may take a shortcut back on Half Note Trail if time requires). Then, we will descend the road back to the gondola. Overall, this is a great hike with fantastic views and changing landscapes. The route is mostly well marked and it is challenging in parts.

We are expecting a moderately sunny day and there is no shade on this trail, so please wear a hat, sunscreen, and bring plenty of water, but be prepared for cold weather and rain as well!

This is the opposite direction from our August hike on this route as the Peak Express will be closed.

To reach this trail, we will ride the Blackcomb Gondola and Peak 2 Peak both ways as Whistler Gondola is closed.

We will board the gondola promptly at 10:30 am (and earlier if all confirmed guests have arrived). You MUST have your gondola ticket or pass before boarding the gondola.

*Note that the 1 day gondola ticket costs $105 (!!!). Summer season pass holders (including the host) can offer discounts on day passes to up to 2 guests. Please post in the comments whether you have a season's pass or require a day pass. If we have enough season's pass holders we can coordinate buying the passes together to share the discounts.
