Baden Powell: Cleveland Dam to First Lake at Night: Intermediate+

At various points during the night hike, we will be switching between our headlamp lights and viewing the stars in the dark.
This hiking trail travels along the Baden Powell trail and goes to First Lake, but then returns to the park at Cleveland Dam. For those of you who want to experience the 3rd part of the Baden Powell trail without going all the way to Horseshoe Bay from the base of Grouse Mountain, this is the shortened version of the trail - it's still a challenge for most.
Difficulty, Distance, and Elevation:
Intermediate+, 15km trail (out and back), 862 meters of elevation gain
Meeting At: Cleveland Dam, North Vancouver
At the Grassy field overlooking the water (before the dam/bridge, on the right side of the park)
Parking: Yes (on the nearby residential streets only, parking lots close overnight)
Transit Access: Yes
Recommended Gear:
- Hiking Boots or Hiking Shoes
- Hiking Pack + 2 or more liters of water + Lunch + Snacks
- (Optional: if cold) Sweater or Jacket, Gloves
