Running beneath the large hydro power lines, the trail combines paved paths, gravel sections, and almost 900 stairs that lead to an impressive 240-metre elevation gain over about 2.2 kilometres. It’s a popular fitness route for locals who enjoy hiking, jogging, or stair training in an outdoor setting. As you climb higher, the views open up beautifully—revealing the Burnaby skyline, the Fraser Valley, and, on clear days, the snow-capped peak of Mount Baker. Easily accessible by car or transit and open year-round, the Coquitlam Crunch offers a perfect mix of convenience, challenge, and scenic reward.
