About the Hike:
St. Marks’s Summit Cypress, Micro Spikes
This is a moderately challenging intermediate hike (2.9 Difficulty)

Hiking boots and micro spikes are mandatory for this steep trail. Bring at least 2L of fluids to drink. Dress in layers. Bring food, hiking essentials, and your smile.

*Before pressing attend please be certain you'll attend. In the case of 3 "No-Shows" or 3 "Not Going", attendees may be removed from the group. For the same reason, please exercise common sense and common courtesy when using Event Chat.

*If you are on the wait list and are not confirmed, please do not attend. We limit group size for some hikes for safety and logistical reasons.

Difficulty, Distance, and Elevation:
This is an intermediate hike: 10.9 km round trip, and 598 m elevation gain, with some steep sections and loose surface to the top. You may be exposed to the elements with little to no cover.

Meeting At: Meetup 9 am at the main Lodge, by the ticket selling booth, at Cypress mountain, to get your free BAC-access tag
Parking: Cypress Parking Lot.
Transit Access: N/A. You are to arrange your own carpool.
Please bring extra footwear, in case of crossing muddy sections, as a courtesy to the driver.
Carpool Fee: Please pay your driver standard fee of $8.00 per hour driving fee.

Recommended Hiking Clothing, Footwear and Gear:

  1. Hiking Boots and Micro Spikes
  2. Small Daypack or Hiking backpack + 2 Bottles of Water (1 Liter, or more if needed) + Lunch + Snacks
  3. Sweater or a Hoodie
  4. Sunglasses and a Hat, Sunscreen if required (all optional)
  5. Light Jacket (optional)
  6. Rain Jacket (optional: if the sky is overcast or raining)
