About the ride:

We are expecting warm, sunny weather for Sunday, so what better time to experience the Seawall by bike, before cruise ship season starts?

This gentle ride will take us from Coal Harbour, around Stanley Park and False Creek, to finish at world-famous Granville Island. Along the way, see highlights like the Lions Gate Bridge, English Bay, the Totem Poles, and Science World and watch for harbour seals swimming near the path. After the ride, return to downtown via Burrard Bridge or stay for lunch, shopping, and exploration!

This ride will mostly follow flat, car-free bike paths on the Seawall and Beach Avenue. There will be some riding with traffic on Granville Island and, if you return to downtown via Burrard Bridge, a hill and a few sections with traffic. Those looking for a shorter option can leave the group at English Bay Beach, from where it is a short ride up Denman to the starting point.

You will need a bike and helmet for this. If you do not own a bike, there are a number of bike rental shops near the starting point. Make sure your rental time is long enough to give you time to return from Granville Island and that you get a good bike lock.

To make the group size manageable, the number of RSVPs is strictly limited to 25. Guests are not allowed.

HELMETS ARE MANDATORY AND REQUIRED BY LAW.

*Before pressing attend please be certain you'll attend. In the case of 3 "No-Shows" or 3 "Not Going", attendees may be removed from the group.
