About the Hike

READ THE DESCRIPTION

Dam Mountain is the shortest hike and the southernmost viewpoint in the Grouse Alpine Area of Lynn Headwaters Regional Park. Although the rocky summit provides panoramic 360-degree views, most sightlines are partially blocked by surrounding trees. The hike starts on a well-maintained path across the top of Grouse Mountain before entering the Grouse Subalpine Area via the Alpine and Ridge Trails. Elevation gain is steady along these two moderately rough trails, which are rocky but not especially steep or technical.

The trailhead is located just outside the Peak Chalet on Grouse Mountain, and access requires a Skyride gondola ticket. For hikers who prefer to reach the trailhead on foot, the route connects smoothly with several trails that start from the base of Grouse Mountain. Please note that paid parking is enforced in all Grouse Mountain parking lots.
