Mount Thurston via Elk Mountain: Hard
Details
Mount Thurston via Elk Mountain is a difficult hike in both summer and winter, but the views are absolutely worth it. You can see the entire Chilliwack Valley from this location, the ocean, Cultus Lake, Little Thurston, and Mount Baker. You will want to wear waterproof boots and possibly even bring crampons for the higher sections. There is limited shade in later sections, so wear good sun protection and bring plenty of water.
This hike will happen in November, so we might encounter some snow on higher altitudes. Therefore it is recommended to be prepared, for instance, with microspikes.
