The Astrology Chart of Eire.

We’ll be looking at the sky map for that moment of bravery, tragedy, optimism, idealism and sacrifice, that happened on Monday the 24th April 1916, 12.30 pm Dublin, when Padhraig Pearse, dressed in his soldiers best, walked out of the GPO and read the Proclamation of Independence. Although passers-by paid him no heed the freedom we are defending today is a direct result of that moment.

The astrology chart of our countrys’ birth, is a fascinating and useful tool, a lens for looking at our past and more importantly, at our future. It shows the shamanic rite of passage to national maturity that started in earnest in 2008. We are in the last two years of this journey, the most crucial, creative, dangerous and exciting period.

Don’t worry if astrology is not your thing. I won’t be using too much mysterious jargon. Anyway it’s good to remember that the symbolism and meaning of the stars has been a part of our indo-european culture since forever so it’s inside us whether we study the stars or not.
