Not too sure what to make of this one tbh! Its a tribute act that doesn't focus on one particular band - the way most of them do.

We can (apparently) expect to hear tunes from Bauhaus, Killing Joke, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy and more. Sounds intriguing!

I'm flexible on where we can go before hand for a few drinks, however Ma Egertons is just down the road from the venue. Should be a good night!

My advice is to get them fast to avoid disappointment! Depending on numbers and everyone's plans we can meet for one or two at Grand Central pre-gig.

Yes I'm aware we've had Depeche Mode tribute act Meetups before (and indeed some of us have seen the real thing!). But since their music never gets old I reckon it'll be a laff. The Devout come highly recommended from what I gather...

Yep its that time again! We had a meetup for this event (we've been every time since 2022 XD) in 2024 and we all had a blast. You all know the score by now - lots of great bands, big rides, bars and (hopefully) good weather.

Great line up this year, to include...

• Korn Again (Korn)
• Knotslip (Slipknot)
• Spouky Kids (Marilyn Manson) #really liked this lot last time I saw them!#
• Simulation (Muse)
• Metal Militia (Metallica)
• Toxicities (System of a Down)

And lots more! Although the event is over Saturday and Sunday, I'm only there for the Saturday since the bands tend to be more metal orientated. I've set the start time as 1100hrs but that's more for the listing itself really - its totally up to whoever goes when they arrive, depart & what bands they listen to.

If you are coming by train from Liverpool you'll need to get off at Deansgate station. On the other side of the connecting walkway is Deansgate/Castlefield tram station. Then you take a tram on the Bury line to Heaton Park (there's a ticket machine on the platform so it's very easy). Really I'd say its a bit easier to get to then St.Mary's park (where they hosted the event before 2024) - since Heaton Park tram station is just over the road from the entrance.
