Ladies I am inviting you to join me for a beautiful Sunday brunch at the historical Miller Tavern located in the gorgeous Hoggs Hollow, on the south/east corner of York Mills & Yonge Street.

Some History:

Origin:
Built around 1857-1860 by William and James Hogg as the York Mills Hotel, it served as a stagecoach stop.

The Jolly Miller Era
Known as Birrell's Hotel (1889-1925), it was remodelled and renamed the Jolly Miller Hotel around 1930.

Prohibition & Reputation
During the 1930s, it operated as a gambling den and faced police raids.

Name & Art
The tavern was renamed after a local mill owner. The sign was famously painted by Canadian artist Charles William Jefferys.

Evolution
The site hosted the York Mills Skating Rink behind the hotel in the mid-20th century. It ceased operating as a hotel around 1964.

Modern Day
After being closed for eight years, it was renovated and reopened in the early 2000s, operating as The Miller Tavern, an upscale restaurant.

Legacy
A park in the area now bears the name "Jolly Miller Park" in recognition of this history.

    When you RSVP, you'll be added to our waitlist, which is your way of expressing interest in joining us.
  2. Secure Your Spot

    E-transfer $5.00 to: fabulousover50@hotmail.com. Include the event name in your message. If your email name differs from your Meetup profile, please let me know. Please note, $5.00 is non refundable or non transferable
  3. Confirmation

    Once payment is received, I'll move you from the waitlist to "going" - spots are secured in order of payment received.
  4. Event Capacity

    When maximum capacity is reached, RSVPs will close. Please stay on the waitlist as spots may open due to cancellations.
  5. Manage Your RSVP
    If plans change, please remove yourself from the waitlist to allow others the opportunity to join.
