Details
Hi guys,
Really looking forward to our next Meet Up. We have two experienced speakers, so come along and learn. We still have room for one more so please contact me if you have a fun.
"Machine learning for muggles."
Guest Speaker Martin Beeby - Developer Evangelist - Web & Apps - Microsoft
How to add cognitive smarts and artificial intelligence into to your apps without needing a PHD or any magical ability at all.
Creds:
Working with developers to help Microsoft deliver better tools, languages and products. Sometimes this involves working with a particular customer. Other times it can stretch to running workshops, speaking at conferences, producing training videos, and writing for blogs and magazines.
I am a regular conference speaker and have spoken at FOWD (Future of Web Design), FOWA (Future of Web Applications), MIX Las Vegas, PHP London and Web Directions. I have also demoed HTML5 and Internet Explorer during a keynote with Microsoft's CEO, Steve Ballmer.
"Development Team Time tracking ... The Good, The Bad & the Passive Aggressive?"
Guest Speaker Marc Brooks - Web Development Manager at Silverdisc
Touchy subject for many devs... vital info for many agencies.... How do you strike a balance between good data collection and avoid becoming "Big Brother".
Creds:
Marc is a solid creative professional. His work was among the best in our group. He was always looking for bigger challenges and more responsibility and I fully expect Marc's future to be a bright one.
I have worked with Marc since starting at Misco UK Limited in 2011. In that time, I have found Marc to be professional, detail orientated, and a pleasure to work with. His work is always of a high quality, and I have no hesitation in recommending Marc.
Speaker #3 It could be you.... Contact me.

Northampton Geek Nights - What to expect.
We were going to do 2 main slots and a few micros. I can change this to 15-20 minutes on each but they need to be short and snappy and MUST finish on time.
We'll break after the first two for 15 minutes and then go again.
As a common theme, could you include the following:A very short introduction of yourselves (i will use to introduce you) Personal background and how you got to where you are today. Funny pictures welcome!Focus on a limited set of related ideas
A story of how your topic helped solve a need/problem in business.
If you can send me your presentations beforehand then I can get them on a PC for you, ready to go. Just means I don't have to ad-lib to much between setups!
This has some handy tips
