Square Dance The Next Step

*******NOTE: This event starts at 1 pm. At 12 pm we will have a catch up or practice class. We are doing the additional class to get everyone up to speed to build on what we learned on the 26th. If you decide to join us for the Catch Up Class, DO NOT GO IN THE FRONT DOOR! If you do, we will lose our ability to rent Monroe Hall. For the Catch Up Class, park behind Monroe Hall and go in the rear door on the right hand side as you are looking at the building from the back. PLEASE DO NOT INTERRUPT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE RENTING THE HALL BEFORE OUR SCHEDULED TIME. DO NOT GO IN THE FRONT DOORS BEFORE 12:45 PM.

Come join us for an afternoon of square dancing and square dance lessons. We have had a number of beginning classes. At this point we will begin to progress or advance in our dancing skills. IN ORDER TO ATTEND, YOU SHOULD HAVE ATTENDED THE JANUARY 26TH DANCE. Exceptions will be made for those attending previous square dances. If you want to go and don't have any experience, I will teach a prerequisite class to prepare you for this event.

It you attended on January 26th, please try to attend this. We will continue these dances as a monthly event so that everyone will get trained and can go to local hodowns.

Square dancing has been a great activity for climbers and other outdoor adventurists for decades. It's a great activity for the winter, when it gets dark early, it's cold outside and we have rain. It's a group activity that is excellent for team building and can help us maintain our aerobic conditioning. Come join us for this festive activity. SoA has had a great time adding square dancing to our repertoire this year. This will be the last opportunity to get involved in this continuing class. Please join us.

Lawrence Johnstone will be our caller. He is one of California's top callers and instructors. In the future we will build upon this lesson and advance in our knowledge of this dance. Join in this class to get in on the ground floor. Santa Rosa's Singles and Pairs Square Dance Club is sponsoring our event, so we can get more economical rates. Perhaps a few of them will join us to help teach. In addition, we are inviting several other Meet Up groups. It will be a great time to meet new friends and have fun with SoA people.
