MT. TAM - WEST POINT INN PANCAKE BREAKFAST LOOP HIKE – SUNDAY, MAY 12, 2019

Join us for a beautiful loop hike to the historic West Point Inn for a fabulous pancake breakfast with optional extras (sausage, cantaloupe, orange juice, coffee). The pancakes are delicious! (Feel free to bring your own fresh berries as toppings.) The hike begins at the Mountain Home Inn, meandering along Matt Davis and Nora Trails up to the West Point Inn for breakfast, then continuing along Rock Springs Trail to the Mountain Theatre, down to the Pantoll parking lot, continuing through gorgeous redwood trees along Alpine and Bootjack Trails. On a clear day you can see the ocean and San Francisco from the West Point Inn, making for great photo opportunities; bring your cameras! The trails are mostly shaded with some open spaces. Sorry, no dogs on this hike.

We will be hiking at a comfortable but steady pace with a couple of stops for photo ops. This is a friendly hike and all are welcome, but you know your level of fitness and should be able to keep up a steady hiking pace and stay with the group.

Parking: No fee; parking is limited; highly recommend carpooling

Fee: There is no fee for this hike; however, I had to enter an amount in order to publish the hike, so ignore. There is a small fee for the pancake breakfast; see below.

Cost: $10-$12 for the pancake breakfast (CASH ONLY)

What to bring: sturdy hiking shoes, layered clothing, hat, camera, sunscreen, plenty of water

Meeting Location: Meet at the Mountain Home Inn parking lot. Parking is limited; carpooling is recommended. I’m coming from Novato and can take 4 hikers.

NOTE: If you sign up and cannot attend, please change your rsvp from a "yes" to a "no" no later than 12:00 Midnight the night before, so that anyone on the wait-list will be able to attend.
