Machine learning, and its latest incarnation (Deep Learning) is not just a buzzword. It is an evolving technology that is already changing our lives. In this talk we will learn what Deep Learning is, what makes it different than other machine learning or AI initiatives in the past, and what hardware and software innovations made it possible. We will conclude with concrete scenarios where GPUs are used to accelerate and scale machine learning models in production.

Bio: Our speaker, Adi Oltean, is a principal software engineer at Microsoft, focused on hardware acceleration techniques for deep learning, indexing and storage.
