What we're about

We are the North County Homebrewers Association of San Diego County and we are an official homebrew club registered with the American Homebrewers Association. This group is for brewers or those seriously wanting to learn how to brew. We have an official homebrew event once a month which includes a formal club meeting, educational presentations, as well as the fun of sharing our homebrew. We also hold other related events in addition to the regular monthly meetings. As all other official homebrew clubs, we do charge an annual membership fee which helps to cover club expenses. Our $24 annual fee ($30 for couples) helps in procuring materials necessary to instruct and educate our members, pay for competitions, traveling events, promotional materials, and other related expenses.

Please read the About us page (or Learn More About this Meetup Group) for more important info.
We look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event.

July Meeting - Welcome Back!

4197 Terry St

This is it! Our first official in-person monthly gathering in over a year!
No theme this month: it's just a good opportunity to offload all the beer, mead, and cider you've been sitting on for the last 16 months.

Pot luck food, as usual.

Location is Chris High's house. Please just come in the side gate right to the back yard.

August Meeting

1975 Yettford Rd

Ready for your second dose of club gatherings? Great! Mark and Cynthia will be hosting this one. Once again, no theme, just a chance to mingle and drain some supplies.

NOTE: due to personal preference and household situation, the hosts kindly request that, for the time being, only individuals who have received the COVID-19 vaccine attend this event. Please be courteous and understanding of this request.
(proof may be requested at entry, so just snap a picture of your card on your phone)

September Meeting - Dale's Oktoberfest

1676 Caudor St

Come party at Anne Marie and Dale's place! This is a potluck event, so bring something tasty and preferably German themed. Wurst, giant pretzels, strudel, spätzle, sauerkraut; you get the idea.
Märzen/Oktoberfest style beers are obviously encouraged, so hopefully you got some good lagering in during lockdown. Anything else that screams autumn would be great, too.
Eat, drink, and be merry!

Oktoberfest Campout @ Lake Skinner

Lake Skinner

We are selling sites to The Oktoberfest Camp out.

The annual famous multi-home-brew club Oktoberfest is a must. Like a mini-version of the Southern California Home brew Fest and some say even better.

This is a camping trip at Lake Skinner over the weekend. You can show up just for the day if your schedule doesn't allow for a whole weekend. The cost for camping is $85 for an RV site, $35 per person for a tent site or $10 just for the day.

There will be a pig roast on Saturday evening. Please bring a side dish for Saturday dinner. Dinner on Friday and breakfast both Saturday and Sunday have been more or less a potluck too but not coordinated.
