Northeast Ohio Hiking Club

Hikers Unite! Short hikes, long hikes, easy hikes, moderate hikes, strenuous hikes, kid friendly hikes and dog friendly hikes! The mission is to provide a variety of hikes for hikers of all abilities to get together, enjoy nature and perhaps burn off a few calories in the process.

All hikers participate at their own risk. Hiking should always be within your comfort and skill level. Please read the Meetup description carefully and email the event organizer if you have any question about your ability to complete the hike or other event. By signing up for a hike or other event you are stating that you are physically able to complete the event listed.  You are responsible for your own safety and assume all risks and liabilities on all outings. Event organizers are unpaid volunteers and should not be relied upon to have any special skills or training.

Rules: If you choose to attend any “Northeast Ohio Hiking Club” events, these rules must be understood and followed:
Be Prepared: You are responsible for your own preparedness and well-being. You are responsible for researching the event, knowing the area, and bringing the proper gear.
Prior Experience: This group is open to all fitness and prior experience levels. However, safety is of the utmost importance, and we require that all participants are medically and physically able to safely perform the activity in events which they participate in. You are responsible for knowing your own limits.
Required Equipment: Participants should always bring along enough water and snacks as appropriate for the event, and wear the proper gear, which includes but is not limited to boots, sunscreen, etc.
Drink Responsibly: Some of our events include rest stops and post-event socials where alcohol is available. It is your responsibility to drink responsibly.
