We invite you to a virtual community workshop on March 17th, where neighbors can share their experiences with extreme weather and help shape solutions for the Citywide Climate Resilience Plan.

Philadelphia is already experiencing more extreme heat, heavy rain and flooding, strong storms, power outages, and other extreme weather challenges. The City is developing a Climate Resilience Plan, and this workshop is one way community voices and lived experiences will directly inform that plan, so solutions reflect what really matters at the neighborhood level. Tell the City what you need to be climate ready.

What to expect?
This is a welcoming, interactive session. Together, we will:
• Talk about how extreme weather has affected us personally
• Share perspectives on what you value and want to protect
• Identify what helps people prepare for and recover from extreme weather
• Discuss how the City should prepare for climate change and what barriers make preparedness and recovery harder
• Prioritize the solutions our community needs most (e.g., access to clean, renewable energy, affordable flood insurance, infrastructure upgrades to help reduce flooding, establishing Resilience Hubs, and developing policies that protect renters and workers from extreme weather conditions)
• Share ideas for solutions that would have the greatest impact

No special knowledge is required - just your lived experience and perspective.
