Book Club 📖: Before the Coffee Gets Cold ☕️🕰️

This time, we’ll be reading Before The Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, a bestselling Japanese novel set in a coffee shop that allows patrons to briefly travel back in time! ☕🕐

We meet four visitors, each of whom is hoping to make use of the café’s time-travelling offer, in order to see their loved ones or confront their pasts. But can they manage to do it whilst following the café’s strict rules, such as returning before the coffee gets cold?

Described as "deeply moving" by the Chicago Review of Books, and a

"deftly written and nimbly translated, life-affirming tale"

by Waterstones, it promises to get us thinking about the ways in which our pasts affect our lives and what we would change if we could, reflecting about memory and acceptance 🤔 💭 💔.
