Join us for a short lecture about the musical secrets of La Boheme, one of Puccini's masterpieces. Following this, there will be a chance for group members to ask questions, talk to each other and get to know one another.

Bring along a nice drink and some biscuits and settle in for a night simply listening to and talking about music (well, at least to begin with!) This event will be hosted online so as many members as possible can join.

Puccini's La bohème stands as one of the world's most celebrated and frequently performed operas. This heartbreaking masterpiece, brought to life through Puccini's enchanting score, continues to captivate loyal enthusiasts while drawing in a new generation of opera-goers.

In Barbe & Doucet’s colourful production set in 1920s Paris, four struggling bohemians' lives are changed when they meet a seamstress called Mimì. A blossoming romance becomes short-lived when they discover that Mimì is ill. Struggling to survive in the lavish yet unforgiving city, these charismatic characters are met with the harsh realities of poverty and misfortune.

From the bustle of a winter’s market to the shivers of a fairytale forest, take a journey to the Snow Queen’s palace, where you’ll find her surrounded by the icy fragments of an enchanted mirror. Along the way, you’ll meet a sparkling cast of characters, from young lovers parted by a spell to a circus ringmaster with a few tricks up his sleeve.
Choreographed by Christopher Hampson and designed by the award-winning Lez Brotherston, this story of love and friendship is a delight for the whole family.
