## 🌍 Earth Day 10,000-Step Walk: Clean Up, Spread Kindness, Leave Joy Behind 🌱
Let’s celebrate Earth Day the best way we know how—together, moving our bodies, caring for our community, and spreading a little joy.
We’ll start by gathering to decorate rocks with positive messages, then head out on a 10,000-step walk (about 5 miles) through town. Along the way, we’ll pick up trash to help beautify our neighborhood and leave our decorated rocks in thoughtful places for others to discover—tiny reminders that kindness still exists.
This is not a race. It’s about connection, intention, and impact.
### 🌿 What We’ll Do
- Meet up and decorate rocks with uplifting words and messages
- Walk approximately 10,000 steps at a comfortable, social pace
- Pick up litter along the way (gloves and bags encouraged)
- Leave our positive-message rocks around town to brighten someone’s day
### 👟 Why Join?
- Walking boosts physical and mental health
- Doing good together builds real community
- Small acts create meaningful change
- Fresh air, movement, laughter, and purpose—what more do we need?
Bring comfortable walking shoes, a reusable water bottle, trash bag, gloves and your creative spirit. If you have paint pens and/or rocks, feel free to bring those too—extras welcome but not required.
Let’s leave the Earth a little cleaner and our town a little kinder than we found it. 💚
We will meet at Amphitheatre to decorate our rocks before heading out. The Lake has a great path around it for us to get our steps, enjoy the area.
