This beginning acrylic class is designed to help new painters become familiar with the basic skills necessary to paint a colorful Colorado folk art landscape. This class will include information on acrylic paint and supplies like brushes and different painting surfaces. You will learn through discussions, step-by-step demonstrations, and one-on-one instructor help as you paint.
In this class we will explore different acrylic techniques such as: color mixing, painting gradients, washes, and use of light and shadow to create strong compositions.
The class atmosphere will be a positive, supportive, and relaxed learning environment. This class will emphasize experimentation and the use of your own voice to create something bright and fun. All materials are included. Ages 13 and up.

Making your picture better by editing it with modern software tools is part of the fun! Many goofs can be fixed, colors can be enhanced or subdued depending upon the need. If you are taking photographs to document reality you still need to know how to make them look as true as possible. If you are making art or just want them to look their best, you can create amazing looking images. All of that can be done without damaging the original.
We will cover all the basics of digital photo editing with modern tools that range price from free to hundreds of dollars. This images shows the original, a black and white, version and the final version available for sale.
Beginners welcome. Ages 13-adult.
