What we’re about
Calling all Christian Adventurers... Come join us for a variety of activities, in a fun, safe environment. We are a group of outgoing, energetic Christians, who like to be active, and social. Try a new activity, or rediscover one you haven't done in a while. Either way you're sure to have fun and make new friends!
If you have an idea of something fun to do, or if you are passionate about something and you want to lead an event, let me know. The more ideas, the more fun we can have!
Please remember that participation is voluntary and by joining the group, you agree not to hold Meetup or any of the organizers responsible and/or liable.
**Policy About No-Shows**
If your plans have changed, you need to change your RSVP to 'NO, I'm not going' or you will be flagged as a 'no-show'. It's not polite to be a no-show.
Please be respectful of our time and send a message through the Meetup app.

Snowshoe to The Loch in RMNP (dinner optional in Estes Park)
Jax, Wilson and Eisenhower,, Loveland, CO, USThose Rocky Mountains are calling -- let's go snowshoeing! The mountain peaks and snow-covered trees will be an amazing winter wonderland!
We would carpool from JAX in Loveland. (Meet at the south end of the parking lot and look for a red RAV4 and gray Subaru.) We will stop at the Estes Park Mountain Shop to rent snowshoes (if needed). We leave from the Glacier Gorge trailhead in RMNP and snowshoe to The Loch (Lake).
Take some snacks and a lunch along to eat at the lake, also plenty water (at least 1 liter) and warm clothing layers (waterproof boots, pants, gloves, and jackets required). Trekking poles, sunglasses, and sunscreen recommended. Micro-spikes and leg gaiters are optional. See the essentials referenced below.
We will check the weather conditions before we go and cancel if necessary.

Moderate hike - please take under consideration
5.6 miles roundtrip
1,062 feet in elevation gain
This will be my first time snowshoeing, but Sue has snowshoed several times and knows the route. I am excited to snowshoe for the first time!
We can rent snowshoes at the Estes Park Mountain Shop for $10/day. They close at 8pm. Please let us know when you RSVP if you plan to rent snowshoes from this shop as we can reserve them for pickup and then pay when we arrive.
After our fabulous hike, we will relax and eat at Poppy's Pizza and Grill in Estes Park or maybe a Mexican restaurant! Some people may prefer to just head home, so we then suggest driving up yourself or carpooling with others.
Check out this short video which gives a feel for snowshoeing. https://youtu.be/Bb4Y95C5VBY
