Dunraven Hike

Beautiful Saturday Morning Hike
Time to get those legs moving and tackle a 10 mile hike to Kettle Tarn and back. It's a moderate hike with plenty of scenery. This hike starts at the Dunraven Trailhead and follows the North Fork of the Big Thompson River passing aspen groves and pine forest. Also, this trail is dog friendly, so feel free to bring your buddy. Please be prepared to hike at a pace of 2.0-2.5 mph. There will be stops along the way to take in views and grab snacks. After the hike we will drive to the Glen Haven General Store for lunch if interested. They have great sandwiches on homemade bread, really good! We will meet at JAX in West Loveland at 6:00 a.m. for those interested in carpooling and leave shortly after. If you want to meet at the Dunraven Trailhead then be there for a 7:00 a.m. hike start. The parking is free and does not require a pass, unless extended hiking into RMNP. We will shoot for 2:00 to be back at JAX. Please bring all the appropriate hiking stuff: rain gear, sun screen, water, snacks, etc.
