Red Deer Lake via Red Deer Lake and Buchanan Pass Trail (Alltrails)

Want to de-stress and enjoy God's awesome creation?
Come join us for a beautiful hike to Red Deer Lake. This is a moderate hike with mountain and river scenery ending at a pristine mountain lake. There may be some Aspen trees still turning as well.
Bring plenty of water/snacks for the trail and a lunch to enjoy by the lake. Also, bring suitable layers for Fall weather hiking including water proof rain jacket.
This is a 13.70 mile hike with an elevation gain of 1807 ft. We'll hike at a moderate pace with stops along the way. Let's meet at JAX Outdoor Gear (6:30 am) in West Loveland for carpooling to the trail head (Camp Dick Campground) near Peaceful Valley.
We'll plan on stopping at Oskar Blues in Lyons for some food on the way home. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
