Get into the festive spirit with Bangor Humanists for a wonderful evening of stories, community, and seasonal cheer.

We are delighted to welcome our special guest storyteller for the evening, Sharon Dickson. Born and reared in Belfast, Sharon evokes memories of the past with her moving monologues and her rich repertoire of folk tales from Ireland and beyond, suitable for listeners of all ages.

During the evening, Roger Armstrong MBE will give a brief introduction to the Armstrong Storytelling Trust. Roger founded the registered charity in memory of his parents, Peg and Jim Armstrong, to promote the art of storytelling, develop new storytellers, and bring stories to schools, care homes, and communities right across Northern Ireland.

The event will also include:

Festive Refreshments: Take a break and chat with fellow members over a glass of mulled wine and mince pies.

Open Mic Session: It's your turn! After our main guest, the floor is open. This is a warm, supportive space for members to share a poem, a short reading, a song, or any other talent you might wish to show off.

Join us for what promises to be a warm and welcoming highlight of the Christmas week!
