What we’re about
PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION! Northern Paddle and Trail (NPT) began in Rhinelander, WI about 25 years ago by a small group of outdoor enthusiasts. It was created to provide a variety of silent sports outings. Members enjoy the beauty of our lakes, rivers and forests where we get fresh air and exercise while visiting with like-minded souls. Our get-togethers include hiking, kayaking, canoeing, biking, XC skiing, snowshoeing, ice shuffleboard, camping, and annual potlucks, plus occasional game nights at a local pub.
For all Meetup members that have not officially joined NPT, we invite you to go to our home website, https://northernpaddletrail.org , click on "membership" and consider joining NPT for the low fee of $10/yr. You will then be included in our GoogleGroup email list to get notices of our events. If you do not want to join NPT at this time, remember you can go to the website's calendar anytime and see what we are up to and join anytime. Plus the home website has many pictures from past adventures.
Hope to see you on the trails,

It has become a NPT (Northern Paddle & Trail) tradition for the members to get together during the summer to share stories and meet new members who have joined since our last get together in January. The NPT board is inviting all members to the
Annual Potluck Picnic on Saturday, July 26th, 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Washburn Lake Recreation Area, Perch Lake Shelter west of Rhinelander. If need be, Sunday, July 27th will be the rain date. So save the date on your calendars. The board will be meeting soon and will communicate with you on all the details. Because of the picnic's location, the site offers paddling, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, and shore fishing if you want to add them to your picnic experience. If you have any questions before the board sends out their detailed email, please contact me and I will try to answer any questions you may have. - Jay jayjoppa1950@gmail.com
PS... To all Meetup members that have not officially joined NPT thru our membership form, and have not attended an event...consider this an invitation to come and see what we are all about. And remember to let Jay know you are coming. - Explore the Willow FlowageSandy Landing, Hazelhurst, WI
