The paddling season isn't over yet, so here is another opportunity to get out there and enjoy this nice weather. This time we are going to Frank Lake, which is a 147 acre seepage lake located in Vilas County and part of the Northern Highland - American Legion State Forest. Paddle Frank Lake, Saturday, October 18th, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, meet at the parking lot. This is a beautiful non-motorized wilderness lake with no human development along its shoreline. There is a public carry-in landing app 50 yds from the parking lot (no facilities). We can help each other in moving the boats or if you have "wheels" you can use them also. While you're paddling close to the shoreline you will find out how this lake got its name. For those interested it is possible that we can have a social event at a local establishment after the paddle. Come join us for a relaxing, stress free, flat water paddle adventure here in northern Wisconsin. Invite a friend along. A PFD is required for each person. New for 2025 - A donation of $5.00 per event is requested for non-NPT members which can be paid at the event. Membership for NPT is $10.00/year. To become a NPT member go to NorthernPaddleTrail.org and click on membership.
Hope to see you there!! - Jay
