Bocce Ball League, Thursday evenings for 6 weeks, Starts Oct. 23

Well it is that time of year again, Bocce Ball Season!! The Rhinelander Dome has opened team registration up for the fall. Last year NPT had 5 teams signed up (12 NPT members plus several substitutes) and we all had a great time.
Dome Bocce Ball, Thursday evenings, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, Oct 23rd - Dec 4th. (except for Thanksgiving), meet at the Rhinelander Hodag Dome. Cost is $5.00/person for the season (6 sessions) and you do not need to have a Dome membership.You can pay Alan Janssen during the first session or make other arrangements with Alan. You do not need to make every session, and hopefully we will have several NPT members join in as substitutes when needed.
If you're not familiar with this game, let me give you "my" description. It can be played outdoors or indoors. It is very similar to shuffleboard or NPT's ice shuffleboard, except you roll these balls (green or red in color) at a target ( a little white ball with a funny name). Whichever team gets the closest to the white ball gets a point or two. This is a friendly competitive game. What I like about this adventure is 1.) The scoring is not rocket science. Even I figured it out. Less than basic math skills are needed. 2.) Your competition is extremely friendly. 3.) This opportunity gets me out of the house for a while during these dark evenings 4.) It is not physically demanding. If you can roll a small ball you're physically fit enough. and 5.) It is a lot of fun.
