NPT Book Club Organizational Meeting

Well it's final. After a lot of planning, research and email exchanges between Linda Kau and Kathy Rogowski, NPT will have its own monthly book club. There will be an organizational meeting for NPT members in which we will discuss meeting times, locations and book selections. The first meeting will be Monday, November 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Rhinelander Public Library. Go downstairs and turn left and go to the end of the hallway. The major theme of the book club will be books based on some aspect of nature. During the first meeting, the members will select the second book to read by picking from a list of recommendations by other NPT book club members. Please bring with you on Nov 10th one or two books that you would recommend as future books. To start the book club off though, our first read to be discussed at a future meeting will be North American Odyssey by Amy and Dave Freeman This nonfiction book is about a 12,000 mile adventure across the continent by kayak, canoe, and dogsled. Copies of this book are reserved for us at the Rhinelander Public Library. You can check out a copy starting Tuesday, October 27th by using your library card. At the reference desk, the book is reserved under Paddlers Book Club. Hope to see you there - Linda and Kathy
