NEED A KAYAK: Afternoon Paddle, Simpsons Crk, Brunswick Head

Come and enjoin the beauty of a winter afternoon paddle. Meet at 2.00 pm (NSW time) to complete paperwork and be issued gear.

We will be meeting at the car park on Mona Lane, Burnswich Heads and launching from the small beach that adjoin the park. From there we paddle around to the mouth of Simsons Crk and make our way with the incoming tide, before pulling in for some afternoon tea. We will then returning with the outgoing tide, arriving back at our start point around 5 - 5.30.

This is an ideal paddle for first timers, offering a pleasant paddle winding through mangrove and natural bushlands and offering a wide assortment of birdlife. Overall distance of 11 approximately km (round trip).

Be sure to bring something to eat and drink for afternoon tea.
