NEED A KAYAK: Simpsons Crk paddle and beach picnic, Brunswick Head

Come make the most of these fine winter days with a leisurely paddle and picnic on Simpsons Crk, Brunswick Heads.

We will be meeting at 12.30 pm (NSW time), to get paperwork and issue gear, at the car park on Mona Lane, Burns, and will be launching from the small beach that adjoin the park. From there we paddle around to the mouth of Simsons Crk and make our way up stream (approx 5.5 km) to picnic on the beach. We will then have a sort break for a beach picnic before returning with the outgoing tide.

This is an ideal paddle for first timers, offering a pleasant paddle winding through mangrove and natural bushlands and offering a wide assortment of birdlife. Overall distance of 11 approximately km (round trip).

Be sure to bring something to eat and drink for a beach picnic and remember that life vest are required to be worn while on the water.
