Come hike the Columbia Mountain Trail until the snow Sunday, May 11th

EDIT: I've changed the date of this event from May 4th to May 11th.

Come hike the Columbia Mountain trail Sunday, may 11th.

We'll go until we reach the snow, and turn around at that point. I'm guessing that will be around where the switchbacks start, for those familiar with the trail, or about 2/3 of the way in. The snow line may be a bit higher, but we can play it by ear.

We'll meet at the trailhead, which is just outside of columbia falls and can be found easily on google maps. There are plenty of people on this trail this time of year.

-8 miles round trip
-Elevation gain around 2,200 ft.

Should be a good little training and warm up hike for this coming season. This trail is quite steep and challenging, though turning around at the switchbacks would spare us the steepest and toughest part of the hike.
