### 🎨 About the Event

Welcome to Northern Virginia Journal Junkies' Traveling Art Journals — a collaborative and creative experience where your art becomes part of a shared journey through the pages of rotating journals. This is a unique opportunity to connect with local creatives while expressing yourself and being inspired by others.

### 🔄 How It Works

  1. 📋 Sign Up:
Join the rotation by signing up via our shared spreadsheet (link provided once you RSVP). Participants must be 18 or older.
  2. 📖 Create Your Journal:
Purchase a blank art journal and design your introductory cover page. This should include:
  • Your name or artist alias
  • A prompt, theme, or guiding question
  • Any creative boundaries (e.g., "no cursing", "no politics", preferred mediums, etc.)
  1. 📸 Submit Your Theme:
Before your journal enters the rotation, send a photo of your cover page and its guidelines to the host for approval.
  2. 📮 Mail or Drop Off:
Once approved, send your journal by mail or drop it off at the Hand & Stone Spa in Sterling, VA to officially join the rotation.
  3. 📬 Receive a Journal:
Based on your preferences, you’ll receive a journal by mail (shipping costs covered by the receiver) or pick one up in person.
  4. 🎨 Complete a Spread:
Create one spread (two facing pages) based on the owner’s prompt or theme. Ideally, finish within one week, but please communicate if you need more time.
  5. 🔁 Repeat the Cycle:
When you're done, mail or drop off the journal and pick up the next one to continue the rotation.

### 💬 Staying in Touch

Please let the organizer know:

This ongoing project runs biweekly, but you can participate as often as you'd like.
