What we’re about

Welcome! This is a tennis meetup for players that like to play doubles and are rated 3.5 level and above.

GROUP POLICIES AND INFORMATION:

NO SHOWS AND LATE CANCELS: If you cannot attend a Meetup, please change your RSVP to No before the RSVP deadline. The RSVP deadline will be posted by me or another host in the comments section before every meetup. The RSVP deadline will be the night before for the majority of events. If you have an emergency and need to drop late please let me or the host know so that someone can be contacted to replace you.

WAITLISTERS: If you are on the waitlist it is your responsibility to monitor your status up to the RSVP deadline. Players that are added close to or after the deadline will be messaged by an organizer. Please keep your RSVPs updated even if you are on the waitlist. Host will add groups of 4 from the waitlist at the RSVP deadline. Hosts need to know how many people they have available for a meetup.

EXPANSION AT THE DEADLINE: If there are 4 or more people on the waitlist at the RSVP deadline they will be added to the meetup at the RSVP deadline. Members are expected to to keep their RSVPs updated up to the deadline so there are no late cancels when RSVP lists are expanded.

NEW MEMBERS: This group has a "text to play" policy. New members signing up for their first meetup will be messaged by the host or another organizer asking them to provide their cell number. New members will be texted the day before the meetup with information regarding their responsibilities when signing on the going list or waitlist for an event. Members that don't provide their number to the organizer will be removed from the meetup they sign up for and possibly the group all together.

MINIMUM 3.5 LEVEL OF PLAY: Meetups are for players that can play doubles at the 3.5 level. This meetup DOES NOT accept beginners! Ratings guidelines can be found here:

COURT RULES: The courts are NOT reserved for this meetup. They are first come, first serve and have a time limit if people are waiting. This meetup has to follow the rules set by the city/county regarding public courts.

FORMAT: This group plays King of the Court in 30-35 min rounds. Everyone rotates and each round you will play with and against different people (usually). Because the way people rotate you will generally end up in a group of people around your level.

WEATHER: If the weather is bad or has a very good chance to be bad, I will cancel the meetup. The goal will be to give as early notice as possible for weather cancellations

IMPORTANT: IT IS REQUIRED THAT YOU HAVE YOUR MEETUP MESSSAGES AND NOTIFICATIONS TURNED ON! This will prevent no shows.
