Hey there NoVA moms of tweens and teens! Have you been feeling a bit lonely lately and wishing you knew more moms to hang out with, but you've gotten out of touch with friends you made back when your kids were in preschool/elementary school? For many of us, it was easier to make mom friends when the kids were younger, when everyone was eager to make new friends to share the parenting journey with, and when there were lots of opportunities to get to know other parents.
Now that we have tweens and teens, things have changed. You might find it harder to make new mom friends now that the kids are older. The kids' get togethers/birthday parties are all drop off now, and you might not know your kids' friends parents at all. You still want a mom tribe, but it can feel like opportunities to meet other moms now are few and far between.
