Come celebrate National Poetry Month at an IN PERSON poetry event!
Poets Anonymous announces a day of poetry on the links. Come and join us IN PERSON for a day of poetry at Penderbrook Community Clubhouse. The clubhouse is located in Fairfax near Fair Oaks. It will run from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30-ish.
The activities will include the following;
10:30 - 12:00
Poetry Preserves will host a session discussing a selected poem. We will then use that poem as an ekphrastic start of writing our own poems in response.
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch Break
12:30 - 2:30
A workshop reviewing and editing the poetry written in the first session or other poems that the attendees would like reviewed.
2:30 - 2:45 break
2:45 - 4:30
A special edition of Poets Anonymous open mic reading.
