Sunset & Beyond! Stunning iPhone Landscape Photography at the Waters Edge - TONIGHT!

While this workshop focuses on techniques for iPhone photography, the core principles of landscape composition, capturing light, and panoramic stitching are applicable to most smartphone cameras. All mobile phone users interested in improving their landscape photography are welcome!

We'll meet at Wegmans Market Cafe, 14801 Dining Way, Woodbridge, VA, upstairs in the cafe area to the right (if you take the stairs), at 4:45 PM for a brief meet and greet before we begin our journey into capturing breathtaking landscapes with your iPhone as the light transforms from the late afternoon until the magic of Sunset and Beyond!

This workshop will explore techniques for making the most of the late golden hour, that magical time after the sun begins to dip towards the horizon, bathing the landscape in warm, soft light, and the enchanting period that follows – "Sunset and Beyond" – where colors deepen and new photographic opportunities emerge.

Discover creative ways to photograph seemingly challenging scenes along the Potomac and its tributaries – transforming everyday elements like waterfront structures into impactful compositions. We'll also delve into capturing unique perspectives, extending even over the water's edge and from incredibly low angles, just centimeters from the ground – perspectives most people would avoid or have to lie down to achieve, likely getting their knees and clothes wet and a backache in the process! With my specially assembled equipment, which I'll be revealing during the workshop, you can achieve these shots comfortably without any of that discomfort!

You'll also learn how to utilize your iPhone's Pano function for stunning panoramic vistas and explore the exciting world of stitching individual photos together to create high-resolution, high-quality landscape images. I'll demonstrate my favorite app for this process and mention other excellent options.

Our shooting locations in Woodbridge will be within a few miles of Wegmans, with backup locations nearby to ensure we have great shooting opportunities regardless of conditions or closing times.

After our shooting session (approximately until 8:30 PM, depending on sunset and location), we'll return to Wegmans for an optional half-hour editing session in the cafe, where you can review your images and ask Philip questions.

Investment: $59 per person.

Payment: Due to the last-minute nature of this workshop, payment will be accepted in person at Wegmans before we head out to our shooting locations. We can accept cash, or mobile payments via Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or Zelle (preferred).
