The Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton (Building W-16 at 9518 Workhouse Way) is the starting point for NVV’s next Wednesday Walk on May 21st. Participants can choose from guided 5 and 10 km routes (3 or 6 miles) that wind around the historic prison and Occoquan Regional Park. The longer walk passes by a unique Turning Point Suffragist memorial (https://suffragistmemorial.org), plus a historic brick kiln and Brickmakers Cafe. Both groups will see the LOVE sign, art galleries and the suffragist museum and then finish at the Bunnyman Brewing Café. Checkout their tasty menu, list of beers and home-made nonalcoholic beverages at https://bunnymanbrewing.com/beers Please meet Steve Brown in front of the Workhouse Arts Center and arrive in time to register around 9:45 a.m. since we plan to depart promptly at 10 a.m.

The Workhouse Arts Center has bathrooms and water available. The walk is $2 for non-members and guests to defray expenses for our sport and $4 for AVA walk credit. Please bring correct change in cash. Dogs and children are welcome but those under 18 must have a guardian present. For more info contact Steve Brown, photocyclist7@gmail.com, (703) 344-6134.
