Nature begins telling us stories right away, even before we’re born.
Timothy Frantzich grew up in the western suburbs of Minneapolis, surrounded by a marsh. He got his first 10,000 hours in tromping alone with his black dog through the brambles, hidden by the cattails.

Timothy fell in love with storytelling early, as his father would make stories up at the edge of his bed every night. Whole worlds were created before their very eyes. Later on, Timothy encountered old stories, ancient fairy tales that have been passed along in oral tradition for hundreds, if not thousands, of years, and then finally written down by people like the Grimm Brothers.

Timothy has been a grade school teacher at Waldorf School, off and on, since 1997. He’s told thousands of stories by heart in those settings. That kind of sealed the deal! He was head over heels in love with story and storytelling. Timothy is also a lifelong musician, and so he brings a unique form of storytelling with guitar.

Please Note: The Halloween story that Timothy is telling is an old Scottish story. Though it is not scary, it gets a little bit intense at times, so if you have a young one, you might want to sit next to them and hold their hand. It’s really a love story, dealing with the realm of fairies and elves and human beings, and the strange connections in between.
