Florida Trail Maintenance at Gold Head Branch State Park Day 1

Join our trail crew as we mow, lop and blaze 4 miles from the Ranger Station to Little Lake Johnson of the Florida Trail through Gold Head Branch State Park.

Please wear comfortable hiking shoes (no open toed shoes) and clothing to cut and trim brush in.

Bring work gloves, bug spray, sunscreen, a snack or lunch and plenty of water, we will take breaks while working on the trail.

We will be using brush mowers, hedge trimmers, and loppers.

PPE Safety equipment will be provided.

We will meet just inside the entrance to go over duties and safety procedures before getting started.

Participants must have a volunteer profile set up on the Florida Trail Association website for us to log volunteer work hours to participate.
