First Day Hike! Florida Trail: Rodman Campground to Buckman Lock

Come out on a first day hike with the North Fl Trailblazers! We will be starting at Rodman Campground and hike out along the Florida Trail that follows the Cross-Florida Barge Canal to the Buckman Lock our turn around. This will be an out and back hike of about 10 miles.

Please bring water, lunch, and snacks as we will take a long break at the Buckman Lock before heading back to Rodman Campground. Please no dogs on this hike. While this is a very flat and easy to walk trail with good shade, it will be a long hike. There will be a slight incline to go up to access the Florida Trail at the start of the hike. I am giving us four hours to complete this hike as we will be taking breaks at the turn around and along the way.

There is no fee for day use at Rodman Campground. Please follow the event signs to the parking area.
