READ ALL!! Let's hike this beautiful, shaded trail at Fort Clinch. Due to the increasing Florida heat, we will only be hiking approximately 4-miles of this lovely, shaded and hopefully breezy trail. This is a moderately difficult hike with lots of hills that are steep and there are tripping hazards. Hiking poles are a good idea. We will be walking at a moderate pace so plan to do 20-minute miles.

I plan to go swimming at the beach following the hike if you would like to join me.

You must have water to attend this hike. A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray are also recommended.

The ranger station is not open until 10:30. Paying for parking is on the honor system. When you pull past the station, if you look straight ahead, there is a white metal box you can drop your money in or you can pay on your way out. It is $4.00 for one in a car and $6.00 for 2-8 in a car. Once past the station, you will drive about 2 miles to the Visitor Center/Fort entrance to park. You will see the trailhead for the Multiuse Trail on the left when you first reach the parking lot. Look for the FTA signs. The bathrooms are located next to the Visitor Center.
