Dog Fest at Camp Milton
Details
Let's get our dogs out and explore Camp Milton Historic Preserve. You don't have to have a dog to attend.
This 2.1-mile shady hike along mostly paved and boardwalk trails will take us around the interior of Camp Milton, which was a Confederate camp during the Civil War. There are historic trees with signage, farmhouse, interpretive/educational center, and historic reenactment field.
There is one small section on a dirt path along McGirts Creek. A bathroom is located along the trail.
The park opens at 9:00 and plan to start walking at 9:15. We will meet at the trail head, which is located inside the ample parking lot. There is no fee to park or enter. Our pace will be leisurely as we stop to read historical information and observe historical areas.
Dogs in attendance must be on a leash and well-mannered at all times. You must have water for you and your dog.
