# TRAIL WORK + CAMPING WEEKEND!
## Bell Springs • Little Shoals • Big Shoals
November 7th & 8th — Come spend the weekend outside, get some trail work done, and have a great time with fellow volunteers!
We're heading back out for another two-day trail work weekend, and we'd love to have a big crew join us!
No trail-work experience? No problem! We'll work together, show you what needs to be done, and get everyone involved.
###

THE WORKSaturday, November 7 — Bell Springs → Little Shoals
- Meet at Bell Springs Trailhead at 9:00 AM
- Work our way from Bell Springs toward Little Shoals
- Vehicles will be staged at Little Shoals for the return shuttle
Sunday, November 8 — Big Shoals
- Meet at Bell Springs Trailhead at 9:00 AM
- Work toward Big Shoals and return

NO POWER TOOLS OR MOWERS!We're going old-school again this year — hand tools, teamwork, and plenty of sweat!
###

WHAT TO BRINGBring the basics for a day outside:

Plenty of water
Lunch and snacks
Enclosed shoes or boots
Work gloves — especially if you have your own
Loppers, if you have them
Work clothes appropriate for the weather
Anything else you normally like to have for a day on the trail
We have some loppers available, although the North Section trailer doesn't have a huge supply. I also have some personal loppers to share.
Hard hats and other safety equipment should be available.
And remember: you don't need any experience! If you've never done trail work before, come out and learn with us.
##

MAKE IT A WEEKEND!Why just come for the work?
Weather permitting, we're offering camping Friday and Saturday nights so everyone can hang out, relax around the fire, and build some camaraderie after a day on the trail. More information about location will be shared only with those interested in camping.
###

FRIDAY ARRIVALWant to come Friday night? Great!
Please plan to arrive no later than approximately 8:00–9:00 PM. We don't want to be trying to direct people to the camping area late at night.
The camping address will be provided only to people who sign up for camping. Please don't share the address publicly.
###

CAMPING AMENITIESYou'll need to bring your own food and camping gear, but we'll have plenty of the basics available:

Showers after returning from trail work
Bathroom access during the evening
Privy available overnight and anytime
Kitchen access until approximately 8:00–9:00 PM
Grill
Fire pit
Picnic tables and additional tables
Outdoor lighting
Power for charging phones and small electronics
Please bring your own towel, soap, chair, and camping supplies.
And please help us keep the kitchen and bathroom clean. We're happy to share our space — just don't make us regret it!

House bathroom and shower access will close around 9:00 PM.
##

SHUTTLES & OTHER DETAILSWe'll have vehicles at Little Shoals to help with the shuttle, and Gloria will be helping with transportation as well.
I won't be doing quite as much pre-work as last year, so there should be plenty for us to tackle together.
##

ONLY 20 SPOTS TO START!We're going to cap the event at 20 volunteers initially.
If there's enough interest, we may increase the number.
So if you've been thinking about coming out — sign up!
Come for a day. Come for both days. Come camp with us. Bring a friend.
Let's get outside, improve the trails, enjoy some good company, and have a great weekend!
