Northland Democratic Club August 19th Meeting

Northland Democratic Club Members!
We are meeting on August 19th at the ACA Business Club 1400 NW Vivion Rd, Kansas City MO 64118. Doors open 6:30 PM, meeting begins at 7 PM.

We will be voting on changing our bylaws, changes listed below.

Voting on proposed bylaw changes
Article 2 Section 1.
Changing the line “The Annual Meeting of the Club shall be held on the third Tuesday of November of each year.”

To “The Annual Meeting of the Club shall be held on the Third Tuesday of March of each year.”

Consequence of the change is current officers will be in their positions until the Annual meeting on March 2026.

Other change Article 5 Officers
In the event that the Corresponding Secretary position remains unfilled as of the next Annual meeting that it shall be struck from the bylaws.

AKA come the next Annual meeting if no one is elected to the position of Corresponding Secretary we will remove the position entirely.

If you’re interested in this position here is the expectations
Send all notices to members; maintain the membership roll; prepare and distribute press releases; plan and conduct public relations campaigns and generally publicize all activities of the Club. (send emails out, post on Facebook, schedule events)

We are working to have a member of Kansas City Council to speak at our August meeting.
We are also reaching out to a Clay County commissioner to also come and speak.
Bill Ferguson will discuss the Beto O’Rourke event held on Monday 08/04.

In September instead of our regular meeting we will be holding our Ice Cream Social at Happy Rock Park!
