Bogue Chitto State Park Camping, Hiking & Biking

Hey to all of you Hikers, Bikers, Walkers and Horseback Riders! Reserve your camp spot now!

Northshore Camping and Outdoors is planning our next camping event. Our venue is Bogue Chitto State Park; a cozy campground located at 17049 State Park Blvd, Franklinton, LA 70438.

Friday & Saturday night group dinners are @ 6 p.m. theme: bring your own meat to my camp spot at Bottomland CI06. I will supply the sides, if you are not persnickety. Last time I made basil butter on grilled corn on the cob (yummy). Bring your favorite dish, snack or dessert to share.

Hiking will take place on Saturday & Sunday at 9 a.m. Feel free to come out for hiking only! Day use fee is $3. There's an awesome bike trail that you can bike in the afternoon. I can't make it up the hill myself, but, will do some biking around bottomland.

Camping is a max of $33/night. max. 8 people/site. Three tents/site. I think primitive camping is $25/night (if it is more I will pay you the difference). Be careful to ensure your dates are reserved for the exact night you plan to stay. If you hit submit by accident, it is cheaper to cancel your reservation vice changing it.

On your own Swimming, Walking, Biking, Horseback Riding and Hiking is always a choice. Yes! Bogue Chitto rents horses. Yes, I said swimming - you never know what the temperature will be 😁
