Say Nothing
Details
Giving you advance notice of our March reading!
Say Nothing investigates the kidnapping, disappearance and murder of Jean McConville, a Protestant mother living in a Catholic neighborhood in Belfast.
This book is a work of narrative nonfiction: it centers on the real lives of Jean and of Dolours Price, another young Irish woman who - in contrast to Jean - joins the Provisional IRA.
It also provides a great deal of background regarding the Troubles in Northern Ireland, so you do not need to be familiar with late 1960s-1970s Irish politics or history.
I will announce our meeting location closer to the date, since we're going to try a couple of new places before then.
