About us:  The group is suitable for women who are over 60 and are able to attend regularly.

We are a group of friendly ladies who wish to meet other friendly ladies while lunching on Friday's,  in a casual, comfortable, warm and welcoming environment. It is the perfect opportunity to meetup regularly for a chat, to share stories, and enjoy a few laughs whilst exploring the menus at various cafes and restaurants in the northern suburbs of Brisbane (NOT near the city) - we all drive to venues and need parking. It is essential that you have your own car to enable you to drive to events. We are independent women so please do not expect others to feel obliged to pick you up.
If you know of a nice café or restaurant that you can recommend …. Let us know so we can go there!
The smooth running of the group relies on you developing a sense of belonging and having respect for and being considerate of each other.

To help us recognise you at meetups and online, please upload a true and current photo of yourself (Head and shoulders without sunnies please). It is important that your photo represents how you really look "now". This helps us find you at the meetup and helps members build rapport with each other.
General Housekeeping:  A gold coin from each attendee is expected to assist with meetup membership fees. (Place in the container provided). Any surplus funds will be donated to a charity of our choice.
“No Shows” and late cancellations make it very difficult with bookings, so please change your RSVP as soon as you know you are unable to attend. If you know that you will be away for an extended period of time, please email the organiser, out of courtesy, to avoid exclusion. An Organiser is a real person who spends unpaid free time researching and thinking about how to make meetups happen. When members do not turn up after they RSVP "Yes" it is disappointing to the host and disrespectful to the venue that will miss out on expected income and may have been able to use the extra tables and chairs for other customers.
It is policy that no explanations will be given when applicants and/or members are approved, declined or removed.
